Epson WorkForce WF-7620DTWF Software Download. The Epson WorkForce WF-7620DTWF multifunction printer is an A3-sized 4-in-1 for home users, small offices and freelancers. This series of Workforce attempts to industrialize inkjet in order to offer an alternative to laser technology. It promises increased print speeds, professional quality for both photo and office printing, and cartridge capacities capable of rivaling those of the laser (2200 pages for the black cartridge in XXL).

Remember that this series is split into 2 colors: the white models, called RIPS, can print up to 75,000 pages without replacing a cartridge and are offered only as part of MPS services. The black models with XL cartridges are distributed to the general public.

Robust and very well equipped, this Epson WorkForce WF-7620DTWF with contained dimensions (57 x 48 x 42 cm; width x depth x height) is equipped with Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, the duplex function, readers memory cards and a USB host port. All you have to do is insert a card or a USB key to print photos or documents directly.
The printer sports a large, comfortable and responsive 10.9 cm color touch screen, accompanied by a few physical buttons. The controls are simple and intuitive. Using the machine is child’s play. The large screen size allows a clear and detailed display. A key labeled “Predef.” is designed to record the most common actions and create shortcuts to access them directly. Attention, no language description on this model (neither PS3 nor PCL).
This drawer printer is equipped with a 35-sheet automatic document feeder and double-sided A3 printing, scanning, copying and faxing. It is important to remember it, because some A3 printers like the Brother DCP-J4110DW have an A4 format copy and scanner glass.
Two front-loading pull-out paper trays (250 sheets) can print A3 and A4 documents. Their handling is convenient and well thought out. Simply position the rulers according to the paper sizes between 64 g/m² and 256 g/m².
The third paper feed, the rear path, allows sheet-by-sheet printing of a wide choice of specialty and thicker media to meet all professional needs.
Under the hood, there are 4 separate cartridges. For the WorkForce range, Espon no longer speaks of “Piezo” but of “PrecisionCore”.
A new name for a new fixed razor blade printhead. It houses hundreds of microscopic nozzles capable of expelling up to 40 million micro-drops of ink per second. Objective: to ensure high speeds while maintaining optimal print quality and fineness.
Mobile printing services are provided through Epson Connect :
- The iPrint app to download for free on a smartphone or tablet to print directly.
- Email Print to print photos and documents by emailing them to the Epson printer.
- Epson also provides compatibility with Apple AirPrint as well as the ability to print documents housed in the cloud with Google Cloud Print.

The advertised speeds of 10 pages per minute (ppm) in color and 18 ppm are exceeded by our measurements (12 and 19 ppm). Times in the average of the speeds achieved by A3 multifunctions. The Brother DCP-J4110DW outputs 16 ppm in color and 19 ppm in black and white, and Epson’s A3 photo printer, the Expression Photo XP-950 drops to 11 ppm in color and 10 ppm in black. Still, the promise of increased ” laser-worthy ” speeds left us wanting more. Let’s compare with a laser: the Brother MFC 9330cdw is capable of ensuring speeds of 23 ppm in color and black.
Although the speeds of the WorkForce WF-7620DTWF are fast for an inkjet printer, they are still lower than those of laser printers.
Inevitably, these speeds drop in duplex mode. Count 10 ppm in duplex for black and white.
Some often criticize Espon for his lack of versatility. Most of the time, photo-oriented models print good quality photos but at the expense of office quality. The reverse is also true. Office printers provide good quality for text and graphics, but photo quality remains a notch below.
A finding that does not apply here. If on this photo magnified three times we clearly perceive the drops on the solid color, these remain discreet to the naked eye. The precision of the letters in the legends is particularly well managed. The gradient of green (rather difficult to reproduce) is clean. The whole gives a perfectly convincing result. We bet that this printer will be able to reproduce complicated graphic elements with accuracy, clarity and precision.
In black and white as in color, the photos, worthy of lab outings, deserve 5 stars. Again, the grain perceived on the picture below remains invisible to the eye. The colors are faithful, neutral, the contours are well defined down to the details.
The scanner (1200 dpi x 2400 dpi) is fast (8 seconds to scan a 10×15 cm and 13 seconds to archive an A4 document) and provides good scans. It is possible to send the scanned object to an e-mail address, on the network, directly on a USB key or even in the cloud.
Printing copies is also fast (18 seconds for color and 7 seconds for black and white). The multiple options (borders, format, paper source, etc.) offered by the screen are practical and well thought out. The quality of the copies is good on the color, a little more degraded on the black, but it will be perfect for copying simple text.
