I bought the Razer DeathAdder Essential for around 45 euros. The delivery was very quick (1 day faster than announced), and completely in the original packaging. The mouse is very easy to grip in my hand, which is probably an average size. The surface is not smooth, but roughened. The right and left mouse buttons are optimal for my taste. The two mouse buttons on the side are also in an optimal position for me. The mouse wheel, which can also be clicked as the middle mouse button, is grooved so that you have a perfect grip.
Razer DeathAdder Essential Driver & Software
The Razer DeathAdder Essential mouse wheel cannot be moved left and right. I haven’t changed the DPI values yet because the factory condition is pretty good. But even with previous gaming mice, I rarely used this function.
I chose the Razer DeathAdder Essential because I already have a Razer keyboard and Razer generally develops good gaming products. The Razer Deathadder v1 and the Razer Deathadder Elite have already received good reviews. Among other things, the sliding feet of the Deathadder v2 have been improved compared to the two predecessors.
The Razer Synapse software can be used to adjust the RGB lighting. The Deathadder v2 was not immediately recognized by Synapse. Switching it on and off several times did not help either. Only a software update fixed the problem. I don’t know whether the software update is related to the installation of the new mouse. If a software update hadn’t been offered, I would probably have had to reinstall the Razer DeathAdder Essential software for the mouse to be recognized.
Using Razer Synapse is not that easy, I think. I tried to set the RGB profiles to be the same as on my keyboard, but it wasn’t that easy right away. This device fulfills so many device requirements that I can give a full 5 stars in each of the selected disciplines without hesitation:
- 1. It is an appropriate size so that it can be comfortably held without fatigue, even with large hands. But not so big that just looking for a suitable parking space could take half an hour after use.
- 2. It has this lightness that allows lightning-fast because seemingly weightless gliding and circling, without provoking the feeling of threatening loss of control due to a lack of grip and a lack of moment of rest. Of course, preferably on a 1A quality pad in the system.
- 3. It has a safety cord that hugs the edges of desk utensils softly and snuggly without friction.
- 4. However, the magic only arises when you can find the arrow on the television and fix its attention in such a way that it imitates the movements of the device almost 1 to 1 as if by magic remotely. However, since I did not believe in magic so far, I fear the rather nasty trick of an impostor, who is probably secretly watching me and laughing at me. Maybe I should subtract a star after all.
Razer DeathAdder Essential Gaming Mouse Software Download
The Razer DeathAdder Essential gaming mouse lies very well in the hand and I always find it amazing how Razer manages this fine precision. For me there is only one better mouse and that is the first Diamondback, which was a little more controllable in the claw grip. But I am extremely satisfied and the new Synapse software is currently very restrained in its design, does not bother as it used to be and again has the option of assigning different speeds to the directional axes. Also a safe decision if you want a gift.
When my son asked for this mouse as a birthday present, I was rather skeptical, but when I saw a good offer, I got it for him. Surprisingly, the mouse is very good. It lies very comfortably in the hand, has enough keys but not too many and, in contrast to my familiar Logitech, is very light. My son says that’s exactly what you need for games. I don’t play myself, so I can’t judge that. I don’t care about LEDs either, but my son loves them. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase.
The Razer DeathAdder Essential mouse arrived perfectly packaged. Unpacked and connected, first tried it with COD Warzone Battle Royale (Shooter). The mouse feels great in the hand and is incredibly precise. Aim wonderfully well.
What I particularly like is that there are 2 buttons for changing the DPI. This means that you can switch between several DPI levels in both directions at lightning speed while gaming, perfect for different situations in which different sensitivities are suitable. With most other gaming mice, you only have one button to switch and can therefore only change the DPI in one direction, which means a change downwards (you have to click through all other modes first until you finally get to the previous level) during a battle makes impossible. Therefore top gaming mouse, perfect for shooters. I also recommend the Razer mouse pad for this.
