Logitech G930 Software Download. The software was not included on CD. It must be downloaded from the Logitech homepage. I generally recommend this for every headset that requires software, since you have the latest version. The software is not included in the scope of delivery, but can be downloaded free of charge from the Logitech homepage. In this software there are various setting options such as the equalizer, the surround settings and the G-key settings. We will shows the software in more detail.

 

Logitech G930 Drivers Download

The ear cushions of the G930 are made of synthetic leather and are softly padded. The inner surface (room for the ear) is approx. 6.5 cm high, 4.5 cm wide at the top and 3.5 cm wide at the bottom. The headband can be adjusted and thus adapted to different head sizes. According to some women, this headset is also suitable for small women’s heads.

The headset is comfortable to wear and the ear cups offer enough space for the ears. The design of the auricle is closed, so that ambient noise is shielded to the maximum. The well-known disadvantage here, however, is the possible heat development in summer.

The ear cups are attached to a hinge and can be adjusted horizontally and vertically. Thus, the headset adapts perfectly to the head and the head shape. With a weight of 400 grams, the headset is not lightweight, but it is not uncomfortable even after wearing it for a long time.

The sound of the G930 is really good. The headset has a good sound, which can be individually adjusted via the software. There is also an equalizer or the simpler setting of bass and treble. The bass is very impressive and if you turn it to the maximum you can really feel the bass (too much of a good thing for me personally). The G930 features 7.1 surround sound. This is generated via software or virtually. Of course, games or films must also support surround sound so that you get virtual 7.1 sound. Especially with modern games like Battlefield 4 or the new Call of Duty, playing is more fun thanks to the 7.1 sound and it is easier to locate enemies and noises and everything seems more spatial. Of course, you can generally never compare surround in a headset with that of a system.

I personally tested the sound quality with music, an audio book and the movie Avengers (7.1). It is of course important that you adjust the bass with an audio book, because you obviously want less bass than with a film or game. In the film, the sound is more spatial with 7.1 and the bass is really good. When the Hulk fights Ironman and slams him to the ground, the bass is powerful.

Logitech G930 Gaming Headset Software

There are some experience reports on the net where people report that they hear noise. The Logitech software has a setting called “Sidetone”. This ensures that you can hear yourself in the headphones when you are talking. Disable this sidetone function or set the slider to 0 if you hear noise. I generally always turn it off because I don’t want to hear myself.

Logitech G930 microphone test

I tested the microphone and also introduce you to the software. One or the other will notice that it rustles when I’m not talking. The microphone test was performed with the Logitech software noise reduction enabled. A change to another PC also resulted in the same quality. I test all headsets in my room, which also has a wireless router. I will soon publish detailed information about my test setup in an article.

The microphone is automatically muted when flipped up. If it is folded down, it switches on automatically. There is also a red LED on the front of the microphone, which lights up when the microphone is flipped up or muted via the mute button on the ear cup.

There are three so-called G-buttons, a mute button and a volume control (wheel) on the left earcup. You can assign the G-keys with the software. For example, you can use one button to pause Winamp and the other two to go forward and back. However, the software allows for a variety of other assignments for the G-keys. For example mouse clicks, keystrokes or the insertion of text. There are so many options here. The G-keys are available on many high-end Logitech products. Even with keyboards.

Logitech G930 build quality

The processing makes a good impression on me. As with most headsets, almost all parts are made of plastic. However, the headband is made of metal. The G933, the successor model, is processed even better. There will be a test report on this in the next few days.

Connection and charging of the headset

The G930 receives its signal through the supplied USB transmitter. The transmitter station must be connected via USB. To charge the headset, it is connected to the micro USB cable. This micro USB cable is connected to the transmitter station, which in turn is connected to the PC. The charging port is on the left ear cup on the bottom. If the battery is almost empty or has reached a critical charge level, you will receive a message. The battery status is also displayed in the software.

Tip: Modern mainboards have a setting so that devices can be charged via a USB port even when they are switched off. If you want to charge the headset at night when you are not using it, you should enable this function in the motherboard BIOS.
